A documentary series on radicalisation in Europe
The context
Mohamed, Saliha, Mouhad or Aime... You probably don't know them, and yet their stories should be known to everyone because they represent an evil that is eating away at our society: extremism.
Tragic victims of racism or religious extremism, these 4 Belgians have seen their lives shattered by discrimination or the loss of a loved one in a terrorist attack.
Their stories, like so many others, illustrate the pain and devastating consequences of extremism and must be heard for the sake of future generations.
Campaign
To bring their voices to life, we have produced a series of 4 short documentaries, combining poignant testimonies and animation to illustrate the profound impact of extremism on our society. Each short film offers an intimate insight into the lives transformed by radicalisation, while highlighting the importance of resilience and hope in the fight against this scourge.
Jihad for love
The tragic story of Mohamed, who lost his wife Lubna in the 2016 Brussels metro bombing.
My name is Saliha
A mother's fight against radicalisation after the loss of her son, who left to join the ranks of the Islamic State in Syria.
Anti-racism needs to be political
Mouhad, founder of Bruxelles Panthères, talks about the need for political action to combat this scourge.
Take the high road
The incredible resilience of Aime, co-founder of Belgian Youth Against Racism, after surviving a hate crime.
